Jayson Lilley is a British contemporary artist who has worked at the forefront of printmaking for many years. His approach to the modern landscape is unique and fresh in both technique and materials, and his work is known for its urban and architectural focus, zooming in on familiar landmarks and reproducing iconic vistas and structures from the metropolis.

Jayson's innovative printmaking practice combines silkscreen, painting and collage techniques to construct vibrant cityscape scenes, always accompanied by expansive skies and playing on salience and colour. His most recent collection explores some of London's more natural vistas, contemplating the relationship between nature and the urban landscape, combining silkscreen print with metallic leaf and hand drawing to dramatic effect.

Jayson graduated from the University for the Creative Arts in 2000 with a First Class honours degree in Visual Communication. After an award-winning career in design before focusing on his artwork, his design background remains ever apparent in his visual style and methodology. He has exhibited widely across the UK and internationally, with recent accolades including being shortlisted for the Westmorland Landscape Prize and inclusion in the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition.
