RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY (Distance Selling Only)

At TAP Galleries, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Your Right to Cancel

If you have changed your mind about your purchase, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your artwork.

To exercise your right to cancel, please notify us by email at artontap@tapgalleries.com before the cancellation period expires.

Once you have notified us of your cancellation, you must return the artwork to us within 14 days.

Inspection of Goods

Upon delivery, you should inspect the artwork and verify that it matches your order.

Any issues relating to the quantity, specification, or condition of the artwork should be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible. We recommend notifying us within 7 days of receipt to allow us to investigate and resolve any concerns promptly.

Damaged Artwork

If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.

We will investigate the issue and advise you on the next steps, including arranging a return, replacement, or refund where appropriate.

Christmas Returns

Orders placed between 1 December and 24 December may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.

To qualify for a refund, artworks must be returned in the same condition in which they were received and within the applicable return period.

Refund Policy

To be eligible for a refund, artworks must be returned in the same condition in which they were received and, where possible, in their original packaging.

Once the returned artwork has been received and inspected, any approved refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Please allow approximately 5–10 working days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your card issuer or bank.

Currency of Refunds

Regardless of the currency used to place the order, all refunds will be issued in GBP (British Pounds Sterling).

TAP Galleries is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations, currency conversion charges, or bank fees that may affect the amount ultimately received by the customer.

Deposits

Any deposit paid towards the purchase of an artwork is considered a commitment to purchase and is non-refundable unless the artwork is materially different from its description.

Right of Withdrawal (EEA Customers)

If you are located within the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.

Once you have notified us of your decision to withdraw, you have a further 14 days to return the artwork to us.

Refunds for EEA Customers

We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we have received the returned artwork.

Please note that TAP Galleries will not issue a refund until the artwork has been returned to us and received at our premises.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

Return Costs

Unless otherwise stated, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

How to Return an Artwork

  1. Contact us at artontap@tapgalleries.com to notify us that you wish to return your artwork.
  2. Carefully repack the artwork in its original packaging (where possible) and ensure it is adequately protected for transit.
  3. Return the artwork to the address provided by our customer service team.
  4. Once the artwork has been received and inspected, we will process any applicable refund. Please note refunds can take approximately 5 – 10 working days to arrive, depending upon the bank.
