Limited Edition Prints

Biography

Based in Hampshire, Liz Pounsett studied Graphic Design at Southampton College of Art before earning a Bachelor of Education in Art at the University of Winchester. After more than 25 years teaching art in Portsmouth while managing the curriculum part-time, she developed a distinctive artistic practice shaped by both education and experimentation. Her work combines analogue and digital processes, blending her own photography with found imagery from vintage books, magazines, and media to create layered collage compositions.

Pounsett’s art explores themes of memory, time, identity, and cultural imagery, often juxtaposing contemporary urban scenes with classical paintings and mid-century aesthetics. Through playful, surreal compositions and unexpected visual narratives, she recontextualises familiar imagery in ways that challenge perceptions of time and place.

Her work has been exhibited at UK art fairs and is held in private collections across Europe, the USA, and Asia, with both original works and limited-edition prints sought after by collectors of contemporary collage and mixed media art.
