Following Stephen Graham’s recent Emmy win, attention has once again turned to This Is England - one of British cinema’s most controversial and culturally significant films.
We’re proud to announce the release of a limited-edition series by Nick Holdsworth, inspired by the original 2006 film.

What's the story?
This remarkable series was made possible with the generous permission and support of BAFTA Award–winning director and screenwriter Shane Meadows, alongside Mark Herbert and Warp Films, who granted Nick Holdsworth access to a private version of the film.
Rather than working from publicity stills or photographs, each piece was painstakingly composed from individual film frames, combining multiple frames to create a single image. The process was incredibly demanding, with around eight weeks spent composing, designing, and developing the colour visuals, before the final hand-painted works were completed.
The first piece created in the series was built using Shane Meadows’ favourite frame from the entire film, making it a fitting and symbolic starting point for the collection.
All of the original paintings were donated and auctioned at the Great Nottingham Ball, raising vital funds for The Television Workshop (the BAFTA-winning charity that has been training young actors since 1983).
In the wake of Stephen Graham’s Emmy recognition, this series serves as a timely reminder of This Is England’s lasting impact, not just as a film, but as a cultural landmark that continues to influence British cinema, television, and art.
With only a limited number of prints available, this series offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of British film and art history, making it a highly sought-after addition for fans of This Is England, and admirers of contemporary British culture.
