Collection: Judith Brenner | Artist

Biography

Judith Brenner is a British figurative artist whose contemporary paintings explore the experience of travelling through the landscape. Combining traditional painting methods with imagery drawn from video and photography, she creates expressive landscape artwork inspired by the freedom she feels on frequent journeys from her London studio to West Cornwall.

Brenner is interested in the interaction between moving images and her own recorded imagery, using mark-making as a way to explore and map the internal landscape. Each brushstroke and line is valued for its authenticity, inviting viewers to join the artist on a personal journey through memory, movement and place. Her playful exploration of different media reflects an ongoing search for new ways to express these experiences.

Alongside her landscape paintings, Judith Brenner works from the human figure, using charcoal, inks and digital drawing on her iPad to capture energy and immediacy. Her contemporary figurative art brings together observation, gesture and expressive mark-making, creating work that feels personal and alive.
