An edition of just 10, at one of the largest formats in her catalogue: this is the top tier of Marrow's printmaking, the territory her galleries reserve for statement pieces like 'Hold On To Your Hats and Enjoy the Ride', which also runs in an edition of 10 at £600. The title invites exactly what her architecture-inspired work delivers: she loves Victorian and contemporary brutalist buildings, and has said she likes to create a narrative in her work and is "always interested in the idea of flying", adding a surprising character to a mundane scene. A hand-painted, hand-pulled screen print on Somerset satin paper, and with the edition sold out at a major gallery, remaining availability is scarce.

Anna Marrow has been working as a printmaker, illustrator and image-maker for 20 years. She studied Fine Art at UWE Bristol, then Communication Design at Central Saint Martins (MA with distinction, specialising in illustration), and now draws at home and prints at Spike Print Studio, Bristol, working with household paints, biros, fine liners, pencil crayons and screen print. Most of her prints begin as biro and ink drawings in her sketchbook, are developed into collages, and later become screen prints. She has been commissioned by The Guardian, Selfridges, Heals, Polydor Records and the BBC, has been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2024) and The Other Art Fair, and describes her concerns as "detail, specific drawing, surprising colour, composition, and believable story telling".
