Bob & Eve is the creative pseudonym of British textile artist Corinna Wilson, based in Brighton. The name comes from the words 'bobbin' and 'weave', a nod to her passion for working with textiles and wool. She grew up in a household surrounded by tapestries, cross-stitch and patchwork quilts made by her relatives, which instilled a love of traditional crafting techniques. Having studied Illustration at the University of Brighton, she worked as a digital illustrator for many years for clients including Fortnum & Mason, and founded a successful homewares company stocked worldwide including Selfridges and Liberty. In 2020 she returned to her roots with Bob & Eve, exploring textiles as a contemporary art form. Her colourful text-based work explores the juxtaposition of traditional techniques, historically used by women in domestic settings, with often irreverent commentary on modern, relatable themes.
