'Liberty' was created by Yap especially for Enter Gallery's Art Yard Sale 2023, and its concept is the most fully-articulated of her butterfly series: in it, she considers how butterflies have become one of the most profound symbols of freedom and change. By creating her subject from confident, liberated women, she encourages us to emerge from our own cocoons, awaken our curiosity and reclaim our sexual freedom. This mini is a two-colour screen print in black and solar gold on Fabriano 5, the warm metallic palette that references both the physical quality of certain species' wings and the associations gold carries with value, rarity and transformation. The large 60 × 60cm edition of the same image sells at £175 and is already sold out at the artist's own shop, so the £50 mini is the accessible entry.

Originally from Singapore, Cassandra Yap is an artist and art director based in London. Her work often explores the juxtaposition between dark and beautiful subjects to create the surreal. Fuelled by her love of pin-ups, the female form and what she describes as an unhealthy obsession with vintage erotica, her photomontage halftone style images are dark, bold and humorous with a kinky edge. Her art delves into reclaiming the narrative around desire, exploring how women experience and express love in both its tender and fierce forms to feel empowered, celebrated and seen. She has collaborated with AllSaints for their 30th anniversary, customising a signature leather jacket for a Serpentine Gallery charity auction in aid of Shelter UK, and was commissioned by British perfume house Penhaligon's to create bespoke postcard artworks for their 155th anniversary.
