Why collectors love it
The silver deluxe edition of Baldwin's swallow print, hand-finished with silver leaf. 'The Love and Light print editions began as a project for CALM charity (Campaign against living miserably). I chose the single swallow to reflect the symbolism of hope and good luck, and as a print specific project reflecting my love of colour and a more simplified composition with only one element in it' says Baldwin. 'The deluxe editions was from the idea of a gold and silver leaf version, utilising my two favourite colours pink and blue. We mixed a fantastic pacific blue, and a vibrant bubble-gum strawberry pink. I'm thrilled CCA Galleries wanted to continue the edition into this new set, and I love their impact.' Note: the bird faces one direction only, as per the image. Swallows are a motif seen across Baldwin's oeuvre, often used to represent freedom.
