Why collectors love it
The gold deluxe edition of Baldwin's swallow print: a silkscreen hand-finished with gold leaf. 'The Love and Light print editions began as a project for CALM charity (Campaign against living miserably). I chose the single swallow to reflect the symbolism of hope and good luck, and as a print specific project reflecting my love of colour and a more simplified composition with only one element in it' says Baldwin. 'The deluxe editions was from the idea of a gold and silver leaf version... I'm thrilled CCA Galleries wanted to continue the edition into this new set, and I love their impact.' Note: the bird faces one direction only, as per the image. Swallows are a motif seen across Baldwin's oeuvre, often used to represent freedom.

About the artist
Dan Baldwin is a British artist known for blending the abstract with the figurative to create works that intersect reality and fantasy. His frequently recurring motifs, from skeletons to swallows, flowers to firearms, crucifixes to cartoon characters, are often contradictory, creating an uncomfortable visual paradox.
