Why collectors love it
A deluxe version of Baldwin's single-swallow composition, hand-finished with gold leaf. The Love and Light print editions began as a project for CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably. Baldwin chose the swallow to symbolise hope and good luck, and the simplified composition reflects his love of colour. The bird faces in one direction only, as shown in the image.

About the artist
Dan Baldwin's silkscreen work blends abstract and figurative elements, reflecting both reality and imagination. His recurring motifs, including swallows, skeletons and crucifixes, often create contrasts and contradictions, inviting viewers to develop their own response to the imagery.
