About the artist
Daniel Sambraus is a British/German photographer, based in London since completing photography studies at the London College of Communication in the mid-90s. With a deep background in photojournalism and studio still-life stock photography, he has spent years concentrating on the "perfect" image with maximum detail and resolution. Moving away from commercial photography and concentrating solely on personal projects since 2018, he is now more interested in the abstract aspects of the world around us. His creative process involves returning to a subject sometimes several times, often with a tripod for long exposures, until the light, the time of day and the angle are exactly right. All photographs are for sale as limited editions. His work has earned him a place on the British Photography Awards shortlist.
