A visual celebration of the Britpop phenomena. Drawing on the visuals and iconography of the main musical protagonists, Blur & Oasis, Steve Rawling has produced a clashing Pop art collage which evokes the late summer battle of 1995. Centring around a shared 1960’s Mod aesthetic, Blurs’s iconic Parklife, Greyhounds and Modern Life Trains vie for the visual ascendancy with the edgier supersonic snapshots of the Manchester Bands “Be Here now” Rolls Royce and Wonderwall gilt frames and gas masks.
