Biography

Liz Pounsett is a British collage artist based in Hampshire whose contemporary mixed media art blends analogue and digital processes into layered, surreal compositions. She studied Graphic Design at Southampton College of Art before earning a Bachelor of Education in Art at the University of Winchester, and after more than twenty-five years teaching art in Portsmouth while managing the curriculum part-time, she developed a distinctive artistic practice shaped by both education and experimentation.

Liz's artwork combines her own photography with found imagery sourced from vintage books, magazines and media, creating richly layered collage compositions. Her contemporary art explores themes of memory, time, identity and cultural imagery, often juxtaposing contemporary urban scenes with classical paintings and mid-century aesthetics. Through playful, surreal compositions and unexpected visual narratives, she recontextualises familiar imagery in ways that challenge perceptions of time and place.

Liz Pounsett's work has been exhibited at UK art fairs and is held in private collections across Europe, the USA and Asia. Her original mixed media collages and limited-edition prints are sought after by collectors of contemporary collage art, mixed media and surreal art looking for witty, nostalgic and thought-provoking pieces.

As with the Charlotte Cornish text, what you pasted is the SEO version I wrote earlier, just run together into a single block, so I've returned it with clean paragraph breaks. If you wanted a different treatment, such as extra keywords, a shorter version or a non-SEO rewrite, let me know.
